I can't believe that my maternity leave is almost over. I'll be going back to work on Oct. 25th which means Dylan will be starting daycare. I'm not to worried about it in the long term, but how on earth do I explain to an infant why I'm letting some other lady raise him 3 days a week? On a happier note, Dylan does have some new "school clothes" for the fall and he's excited to model them all on typepad. I think is favorite new article of clothing is his fall jacket. It's very snuggly inside and the hood allows him to go sans hat.
For our last few days we're just taking walks, eploring new things and taking care of doctor appointments for him and dentist appointments for me.
Dylan's 2 month check up went well and he was not too terribly upset about the three shots he received. I was impressed by his composure considering he still doesn't have much meat on his thighs. He is long and lean. Dylan measured 25 inches long and 11.14 lbs. So he's grown 4 inches since birth and gained 4 lbs. But he's eating quite well so he must just be getting taller so fast that he can't get wider.
He smiles and squeeks a bit now but no laughing yet. All in good time.
He's looking so much older already. Amazing. Tell him not to get too big and mature before Thanksgiving!

Dylan can check with Ruby about the day care experience. She will let him know that even though she was happy with her day care providers, there was never anyone quite as special as her own mother.
